{"id":10315,"date":"2021-04-08T18:45:34","date_gmt":"2021-04-08T13:15:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=10315"},"modified":"2021-04-08T19:53:11","modified_gmt":"2021-04-08T14:23:11","slug":"cm-n-biren-singh-reviews-development-of-churachandpur-medical-college-in-manipur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/cm-n-biren-singh-reviews-development-of-churachandpur-medical-college-in-manipur\/","title":{"rendered":"CM N Biren Singh reviews development of Churachandpur Medical College in Manipur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Manipur, April 8:<\/strong> Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Thursday reviewed the construction process and functional management of the Churachandpur Medical College.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Union home minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of the new medical college virtually while on his visit to Manipur in December last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Churachandpur Medical College is being constructed by upgrading the existing district hospital in the Chaurachandrapur.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will be constructed over an area of 25 acres and will be equipped with the latest health facilities for advanced treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The medical college will have 100 seats for MBBS students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Centre has already sanctioned an amount of Rs 325 crores for the new college.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The other two medical colleges in the state are the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) at Lamphelpat in Imphal West district and the <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"http:\/\/jnims.nic.in\/contactus.html\">Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences<\/a><\/span> (JNIMS) in Imphal city.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, the Manipur government has also submitted the proposal to open two more medical colleges in Thoubal and Chandel districts before the Centre.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Also Read<\/span>:<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/gauhati-medical-college-to-get-separate-wing-for-transgender\/\">Gauhati Medical College to get separate wing for transgender<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The medical college in Thoubal will be created by developing the existing district hospital.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<strong>Chaired a review meeting on the progress of the construction &amp; functional management of Churachandpur Medical College which will be the 3rd medical college in the State.
