Gwalior, April 19:<\/strong> A 50-year-old female Covid patient on oxygen support was allegedly sexually assaulted by a hospital ward boy at a Covid care centre set up in a hotel in Gwalior on Sunday. The accused purportedly attempted to rape her and has now been arrested, the police said.<\/p>\n

During the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, the accused Vivek Lodhi tried to sexually assault<\/a><\/span> the complainant twice according to her statement.<\/p>\n

He came to her ward when there was no one else there. The complainant said he fled after her family members sounded an alarm.<\/p>\n

The complainant\u2019s son filed a first information report and a case has been registered at Kampoo police station.<\/p>\n

Additional Superintendent of Police Hitika Vasal said an investigation is underway.<\/p>\n

The family members of the Covid patient also accused the private hospital to which the care centre belongs of negligence. This too is being investigated.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
