{"id":1110,"date":"2020-04-21T23:20:06","date_gmt":"2020-04-21T17:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=1110"},"modified":"2020-04-21T23:20:06","modified_gmt":"2020-04-21T17:50:06","slug":"pema-khandu-inaugurates-daporijo-bridge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/pema-khandu-inaugurates-daporijo-bridge\/","title":{"rendered":"Pema Khandu inaugurates Daporijo bridge"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Arunachal Pradesh CM inaugurates Daporijo bridge over video conferencing:<\/h1>\n<p>Guwahati, April 21: Pema Khandu inaugurates Daporijo bridge on Monday, over the Subansiri river over video conferencing.<\/p>\n<p>The bridge on the Daporijo River is a strategic link towards the LAC between India and China.<\/p>\n<p>The bridge is now opened for vehicular movement.<\/p>\n<p>Amid ongoing nationwide lockdown, the Daporijo bridge over the Subansiri river has been constructed by Border Roads Organisation (BRO), keeping in mind utmost precautions against <a href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/people-arrested-for-defying-covid-19-in-arunachal\/\">COVID-19<\/a> so as to connect this strategic Line of Communication in Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1119\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1119\" style=\"width: 293px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1119\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/nerising.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/PIC-1.jpg?resize=293%2C390&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Pema Khandu inaugurates Daporijo bridge.\" width=\"293\" height=\"390\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/northeastrising.in\/test\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/PIC-1.jpg?w=293&amp;ssl=1 293w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/northeastrising.in\/test\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/PIC-1.jpg?resize=225%2C300&amp;ssl=1 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 293px) 100vw, 293px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1119\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Pema Khandu inaugurates Daporijo bridge.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>All supplies, rations, constructional material and medicines pass over this bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Old Bridge developed cracks which could lead to a major catastrophe like on 26 July 1992 when a passenger bus fell off the bridge leaving no survivors.<\/p>\n<p>With the intervention of DGBR and CE Arunank expeditious sanctions were obtained from the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Arunachal Pradesh government.<\/p>\n<p>The difficult and dangerous launch was completed in record time adhering to all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/intl\/en_in\/covid19\/\">COVID-19<\/a> precautions.<\/p>\n<p>Work had started for the construction of the bridge on March 17 this year by 23 BRTF.<\/p>\n<p>Finally after 27 days on April 14 the bridge was jacked down successfully and safely on the supports.<\/p>\n<p>It has been successfully upgraded from class 24 tons to class 40 tons thereby allowing heavier vehicles to pass catering for not only Army requirements but the future Infrastructure development requirements of Upper Subansiri district.<\/p>\n<p>Safe and early execution of the bridge represents the seamless coordination and cooperation between the BRO, MoD and Arunachal Pradesh government.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arunachal Pradesh CM inaugurates Daporijo bridge over video conferencing: Guwahati, April 21: Pema Khandu inaugurates Daporijo bridge on Monday, over the Subansiri river over video conferencing.
