Odisha, May 30:<\/strong> The Gopalpur Police Outpost in charge in Balasore district has been arrested for allegedly raping a woman constable, who was posted at the outpost on Cyclone Yaas duty.<\/p>\n

The accused has been identified as Basidhar Pradhan. He will be sent for medical examination and court forwarded, informed police sources.<\/p>\n

The matter came to the fore after the woman constable lodged a complaint in this regard at the Balasore Town Police Station.<\/p>\n

As per reports, the woman constable, posted at Khantapada Police Station in Odisha was engaged in duty at Gopalpur Police Outpost in view of the Cyclonic Storm, Yaas<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

While she was on duty at the police outpost, Pradhan allegedly misbehaved and later raped her.<\/p>\n

“A rape complaint has been received from female staff. Based on the complaint, an investigation has been launched while the details of the case will be known only after I go through the FIR. The complaint has been filed at the Town Police Station and legal action has been taken<\/strong>,” informed Balasore SP Sudhansu Sekhar Mishra.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
