Guwahati, June 16:\u00a0<\/strong>Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma has now joined Koo and on Wednesday he launched Assamese, the language of his home state, on the micro-blogging platform.<\/p>\n

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s first Koo in Assamese read, \u201cI am delighted that Koo App has launched the Assamese language on Koo with me joining the platform. The app is enabling the people of Assam to voice their thoughts and opinions in their mother tongue. Looking forward to engaging with people on the Koo app. I will be Kooing my opinions, announcements, and many more updates here. I wish Koo the very best in their future endeavors.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Aprameya Radhakrishna, Co-Founder, and CEO, Koo, said \u201cWe are very happy to have Himanta Biswa Sarma Ji on our platform. We are even more excited about the fact that the first Koo in Assamese is his and that he\u2019s launched Assamese on Koo. I\u2019m sure the people of Assam would love to interact with him and each other on this platform and exchange thoughts on various topics. Assam is a very large state with a population of over 30 million and the people have a high affinity towards their language. Koo will be one of the few platforms where they will be able to connect with each other, exchange thoughts in Assamese and make new friends too.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mayank Bidawatka, Co-Founder, Koo, said \u201cIt\u2019s very exciting to be launching in Assamese and that too through the State\u2019s Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma Ji. I\u2019m sure the people of Assam will enjoy this just like the rest of the country has been. We have enabled the Assamese keyboard on Koo making it very easy for them to connect with each other in their mother tongue. They will be able to create share their thoughts in audio and video formats too, apart from the text. This multi-modal creation is unique to Koo. I hope to see a large population from the state use this platform to connect with each other in a way like never before!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

This launch empowers the people of Assam to communicate and interact in their native language. Users can connect with him on his handle @himantabiswa. With the launch of App in Assamese by the Chief Minister, many celebrities and thought leaders of the State are expected to join the platform soon. They will be interacting with the people of the state in “Asomiya”<\/strong> or “Assamese<\/a><\/span><\/span>“<\/strong> language on the platform.<\/p>\n

This platform was founded in March 2020, as a micro-blogging platform in Indian languages. Available in multiple Indian languages, people from across different regions in India can express themselves in their mother tongue.<\/p>\n
