Guwahati, June 24:<\/strong> In joint operations, police and Assam Rifles troops had apprehended 12 cadres of NSCN (IM) and Nikki Sumi group of NSCN in Nagaland.<\/p>\n

Assam Rifles<\/a><\/span> troops and police had apprehended 11 cadres of the Nikki Sumi group from the general area of Thilixu village in Dimapur district on June 23.<\/p>\n

Based on a specific input, security forces had apprehended the cadres of Nikki Sumi roup, running an illegal mess and carrying out extortion activities on the NS Highway module.<\/p>\n

\"Security<\/a><\/p>\n

Security personnel had recovered three-point 32 pistols with magazines, 25 points 32 live ammunition and some incriminating documents from their possession.<\/p>\n

The apprehended cadres along with recovered items were handed over to Diphupar Police Station, Dimapur district for further investigation.<\/p>\n

In a separate operation, security forces had apprehended an active cadre of NSCN (IM) at the general area Burma Camp in the Dimapur district Nagaland.<\/p>\n

Based on a specific input, security forces apprehended the NSCN (IM) cadre who was involved in supplying arms and ammunition and recovered one point 22 pistols, three rounds of point 22 live ammunition from his possession.<\/p>\n
