{"id":13336,"date":"2021-07-05T17:42:36","date_gmt":"2021-07-05T12:12:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=13336"},"modified":"2021-07-05T18:31:57","modified_gmt":"2021-07-05T13:01:57","slug":"kimin-waii-favours-fencing-disputed-areas-between-assam-and-arunachal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/kimin-waii-favours-fencing-disputed-areas-between-assam-and-arunachal\/","title":{"rendered":"Kimin: Waii favours fencing disputed areas between Assam and Arunachal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Itanagar, July 5:<\/strong> Reacting to the Kimin fiasco, former Arunachal Pradesh Home Minister Kumar Waii has urged Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu-led State government to build fences in all the disputed boundaries between Arunachal and Assam to avoid any more future escalation related to the inter-State boundaries.<\/p>\n<p>Waii made the comment during a presser here in reaction to the Kimin fiasco.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is very sad to see the state of the state, where the chief minister is a mute spectator and fails to protect its territorial integrity.<strong> The Kimin fiasco needs to be handled seriously because it\u2019s not only about boundary issues but also about territorial integrity and people in power should stop playing the blame game and immediately build fences<\/strong>&#8220;, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have seen the statement of chief minister Pema Khandu where he has categorically stated that he had no knowledge about the event and of showing Kimin as part of Assam whereas he had a meeting with a top official of BRO a week before the incident came to limelight,\u201d said Waii.<\/p>\n<p>He also claimed that it is not possible to organize such a big event without the knowledge of the state government where the Union Defence Minister and MoS are involved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to blame or question any religion or region but these people become vocal when some indigenous people want to build a church in Tawang in a few square meters of the land but they become mute spectators when it comes to Kimin and illegal land encroaches by Chakma people in Eastern Arunachal. <strong>If the state government follows the same attitude, the day is not far when Ruksin becomes Dhemaji, Likabali will be under Silapathar and Bhalukpung will be under Balipara<\/strong>,\u201d said Waii.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Also Read<\/span>:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #003366;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #003366;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/bro-apologises-to-arunachal-people-over-kimin-controversy\/\">BRO apologises to Arunachal people over Kimin controversy<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When asked about an apology from the <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bro.gov.in\/\">BRO<\/a><\/span> official concerned, Waii said, &#8221;The BRO is not the representative of the State or the Central government; so, their apology or clarification is not acceptable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Instead, the clarification must be given by any representative of the Central or State government or from Assam.
