Total #COVID19 patients in Assam 59.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Alert ~ One student of Regional Dental College, Kamrup Metro  has tested <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a> positive.<\/p>\n<p>\u2197\ufe0fTotal <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a> patients in Assam 59 <br \/>\u2197\ufe0fActive cases 24<br \/>\u2197\ufe0fDischarged 34<\/p>\n<p>Update at 11.55 pm \/ May 8<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AssamCovidCount?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AssamCovidCount<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Himanta Biswa Sarma (@himantabiswa) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/himantabiswa\/status\/1258827723364904960?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 8, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/assam-students-finally-reached-guwahati-from-kota\/\">student<\/a><\/span> of Regional Dental College was engaged in screening work at Guwahati Medical College Hospital since April 27.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Earlier, a post-graduate student of Guwahati Medical College and Hospital was tested COVID-19 positive.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">On the other hand, 10 people who were returned from Ajmer Sharif in Rajasthan to Silchar in Cachar district were tested positive for COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meanwhile, the state government has <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/doctor-tested-covid19-positive-in-assam\/\">declared Guwahati Medical College Hospital<\/a><\/span>, Regional Dental College, Dr. B Barooah Cancer Hospital in Guwahati, and few areas in Guwahati and Cachar district as containment zone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assam has so far reported 59 positive cases for COVID-19 including 11 cases from Cachar district, nine cases from Golaghat district, six cases each from Morigaon, Goalpara districts, five cases each from Dhubri, Bongaigaon and Kamrup (Metro) districts, four cases from Nalbari district, two cases each from Karimganj and Kamrup districts and one each from South Salmara, Lakhimpur, Hailakandi and Kokrajhar district.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assam reports 15 COVID19 positive cases in under last 48 hours: Guwahati, May 9: Assam has reported 15 positive cases for COVID19 in under 48 hours taking the state tally to 59.
