Arunachal, Jan 10:<\/strong> Arunachal Pradesh Deputy CM Chowna Mein tested covid positive by Rapid antigen test.<\/p>\n

On his Facebook page, Arunachal Deputy CM wrote, \u201cThis is to inform all my associates that I have come into close contact with Secretary Transport, Shri Dani Salu Ji who had tested Covid +ve yesterday. I had a meeting with him yesterday morning & evening and have also been on tour with him since 4th January. So, those who had come into contact with him or me since the last 5\/6days may please get the covid test done. Today, I got myself tested for Covid through RAT and was found positive. I have got mild symptoms, however, there is nothing to worry about as I am doing well with no other problem. I request all those who came into contact with me in the last few days, to isolate themselves and get yourself Covid-Test done<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arunachal Pradesh\u2019s COVID-19 tally rose to 55,558 on Monday as 37 more people tested positive for the infection, 22 less than the previous day. The death toll remained unchanged at 282 as no fatality was registered in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n

The northeastern state is witnessing a spurt in COVID-19 cases since January 4, with 206 infections detected since then.<\/p>\n

Arunachal Pradesh now has 222 active cases while, 55,054 people have recuperated from the disease so far, including one on Sunday, State Surveillance Officer (SSO) Dr Lobsang Jampa said.<\/p>\n

The official said that three NDRF personnel are among the new patients. The Capital Complex region recorded the highest number of 18 fresh cases, followed by 13 in the West Kameng district and three in Namsai.<\/p>\n

The recovery rate among the coronavirus patients in the state stood at 99.09 per cent, the SSO said.<\/p>\n

The state has tested over 12.08 lakh samples for COVID-19 so far, including 376 on Sunday. The positivity ratio has shot up to 9.84 per cent.<\/p>\n

At least 18,941 beneficiaries in the age group of 15-18 years have been administered the first dose.<\/p>\n

The state government, in view of the sudden surge in COVID-19 cases, has directed all the deputy commissioners to re-establish the district COVID control rooms and reactivate the rapid response teams.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
