This strategically important bridge helps the Indian military combat anti-national activities and Chinese military threats in the easter sector of the Line of Actual Control border areas. It is known as &#8220;Talon&#8221; in the Idu Mishmi language.<\/h6>\n<p>This bridge spans across the Sikang river system in Arunachal. It is located in the lower Dibang valley district of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p>In 2010, the Union Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure approved the project for the construction of bridges across the Sikang river system and the connecting road between Bomjir-Meka on NH-52, covering a length of 18.950 km.<\/p>\n<p>NH-52 has been renumbered as National Highway 13 which is also known as Trans-Arunachal Highway.<\/p>\n<p>Expenditure on the project was incurred out of the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region&#8217;s budget allocations for the Special Accelerated Road Development Programme for the North Eastern Region. The 750 crore rupees project has seen disruptions due to resistance from locals.
