Agartala, May 18:\u00a0<\/strong>The flood in Assam impacted the crisis of fuel in the neighboring state Tripura. Tripura Government Issue notice to impose restriction on the sale of Petrol and Deiseal in the state. The restriction has been imposed as the railway lines have been disrupted and road traffic movement on National Highway 44.<\/p>\n

In the order, it is said that \u201cin the view of the disruption in the railway line near Badarpur and road traffic movement in National Highway 44. The supply of POL products in the state is getting badly affected. As such, it is been decided to impose restriction on the sale of MS in the state by the R\/Os of IOCL\/HPCL\/BPCL in the state until further.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The restriction says that \u201cTwo-wheelers can take a maximum of Rs 200 petrol, three-wheelers can take a maximum of Rs 300 petrol\/diesel. Four-wheelers can take petrol\/diesel for 1000 rupees. This decision is effective now.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Last day, the Tripura government is readying a contingency plan for the supply of essential items by road from Assam as restoration of the railway network affected by rain-triggered landslides in the neighbouring state will take at least two months, officials said on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

As of now, Tripura has \u201cno shortage\u201d<\/strong> of essential items and fuel but if the suspension of train services continues for a long time, it will impact the normal supply to the state, food, and civil supplies department additional secretary Tapan Kumar Das said.<\/p>\n

The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has already suspended train services to Tripura, south Assam, Manipur, and Mizoram in the wake of major landslides between Maibong and Bandarkhal in Assam till May 25.<\/p>\n

All the seven long-distance passenger trains have been suspended on account of the disaster-like situation in Assam\u2019s Maibong<\/a> <\/span>area, the official said, adding that movement of goods trains has also been disrupted.<\/p>\n
