Kolkata, July 26: <\/strong>Trinamool Congress leader Partha Chatterjee, who was admitted to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on Monday, landed at the Kolkata airport early Tuesday morning, from where he has been be taken to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office at CGO complex Salt Lake.<\/p>\n

The development comes a day after AIIMS doctors ruled out the need for active health intervention for Chatterjee, who was arrested in connection with an alleged school jobs scam on Saturday.<\/p>\n

After this Kolkata’s SSKM Hospital also releases a report saying that \u201cPartha Chatterjee’s Medical Reports Are Fine.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Tushar Kanti Patra of SSKM Hospital in Kolkata said on Tuesday morning that Partha Chatterjee\u2019s health is stable.<\/p>\n

Dr. Patra said, \u201cmedical reports have come, and it\u2019s fine. A thorough examination of him was done. Though he had some problems, he didn\u2019t need to be admitted to the hospital, he\u2019s being monitored closely\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following this, the ED, which is probing the money trail in the alleged scam, prayed for a 14-day custody of Chatterjee before a special court. The probe agency said the mountain of cash found at Chatterjee’s aide’s home belonged to the minister.<\/p>\n

However, the court sent Chatterjee and his aide Arpita Mukherjee to the Enforcement Directorate’s custody till August 3.<\/p>\n

Partha was shifted to AIIMS<\/a> <\/span>Bhubaneswar through air ambulance early Monday morning. He was arrested on Saturday, after which he was sent to two-day ED custody. But he complained of ‘uneasiness’, following which he was admitted to SSKM hospital on Saturday evening on a local court’s order.<\/p>\n

But, the ED approached Calcutta High Court, saying “it was not in accordance with the law”<\/strong>, reacting to which, the high court ordered the ED to shift Partha to AIIMS.<\/p>\n

The ED has unearthed many disproportionate assets of Chatterjee since his arrest, of which were three flats in West Bengal’s Diamond City.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
