{"id":1983,"date":"2020-05-28T14:57:31","date_gmt":"2020-05-28T09:27:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=1983"},"modified":"2020-05-28T14:57:31","modified_gmt":"2020-05-28T09:27:31","slug":"water-level-of-brahmaputra-in-guwahati-increases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/water-level-of-brahmaputra-in-guwahati-increases\/","title":{"rendered":"Water level of Brahmaputra river in Guwahati increases"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Brahmaputra river water level in Guwahati increases by 5-6 cm every hour:<\/h1>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Guwahati, May 28: Water level of river Brahmaputra in Guwahati increases. <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/the-first-wave-of-flood-has-hit-assam\/\">Assam flood<\/a><\/span> situation still grim as water levels of many rivers have gradually increased and flowing above danger level marks at different places of the state.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following incessant rains in Assam and neighbouring states Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, the water levels of many rivers are increasing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Guwahati, the <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/one-person-died-from-drowning-in-floodwater-in-assam\/\">water level of the Brahmaputra river<\/a><\/span> is rising by 5-6 cm every hour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Central Water Commission (CWC) employee Sadikul Hoque said that the water level of the Brahmaputra river is gradually increasing.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe water level is increasing by 5-6 cm every hour. If the rain continues, then it will become worse. Now only one and a half feet have left to touch the danger level mark in Guwahati,\u201d the Central Water Commission employee said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nearly 3 lakh people in 11 districts of the state are <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/seven-districts-affected-by-floods-in-assam\/\">affected in the fresh floods<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), one person <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/one-person-died-from-drowning-in-floodwater-in-assam\/\">drowned in floodwaters<\/a><\/span> at Rangia in Kamrup district yesterday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">321 villages in 21 revenue circles of Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Hojai, Darrang, Barpeta, Nalbari, Goalpara, West Karbi Anglong, Dibrugarh and Tinsukia district have been <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/seven-districts-affected-by-floods-in-assam\/\">affected by floods.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nearly 16,700 flood-affected people have taken shelter at 57 relief camps set up by the district administration and the floodwater submerged around 2700 hectares crop area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brahmaputra river water level in Guwahati increases by 5-6 cm every hour: Guwahati, May 28: Water level of river Brahmaputra in Guwahati increases.
