{"id":2023,"date":"2020-05-30T20:40:53","date_gmt":"2020-05-30T15:10:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=2023"},"modified":"2020-05-30T20:42:18","modified_gmt":"2020-05-30T15:12:18","slug":"rivers-cross-danger-level-mark-in-assam","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/rivers-cross-danger-level-mark-in-assam\/","title":{"rendered":"Rivers cross danger level mark in Assam"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 dir=\"ltr\">Assam: Rivers cross danger level mark due to unremitting rainfall and sudden release of water from the dam<span class=\"im\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/h1>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">May 30, 2020: Rivers cross danger level mark in Assam due to unremitting rainfall and sudden release of water from the Kureshi dam in Bhutan, many rivers in Assam like the Beki river which is a right-bank tributary of the mighty Brahmaputra and a large portion of which flows through Assam, are crossing the <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/seven-districts-affected-by-floods-in-assam\/\">danger level<\/a><\/span> resulting in the flooding of villages and destroying of crops.<\/p>\n<div class=\"yj6qo ajU\">\n<div id=\":qv\" class=\"ajR\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"button\" aria-label=\"Hide expanded content\" aria-expanded=\"true\" data-tooltip=\"Hide expanded content\"><img class=\"ajT\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/ssl.gstatic.com\/ui\/v1\/icons\/mail\/images\/cleardot.gif?w=696&#038;ssl=1\" \/><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"adL\">\n<div class=\"adm\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"im\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Many villages of Assam\u2019s Baksa district are submerged underwater with <strong>more than 2,000 families affected and hundreds of bighas of land and Pachli crops severely damaged<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 696px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-2023-1\" width=\"696\" height=\"391\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/assam-flood-final.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/assam-flood-final.mp4\">https:\/\/nerising.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/assam-flood-final.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Due to the release of water from Bhutan&#8217;s Kurishwa Dam, the water level of the Beki river has risen too beyond the danger level since 22nd May.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Meanwhile villages of Kamarpara, Bardanga, Srirampur, Galia, Lachanga, Balaipathar, Daukmari, Kharballi, Sheopur, Kalgachia are all too <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/the-first-wave-of-flood-has-hit-assam\/\">heavily flooded<\/a><\/span>.
