Ladakh, Sep 10:\u00a0<\/strong>The Indian Army is conducting an exercise Parvat Prahar to validate its concepts with new equipment that has been inducted in Eastern Ladakh along the Line of Actual Control (LAC<\/a><\/span>) with China.<\/p>\n

Army Chief General Manoj Pande on Saturday visited the troops who are conducting this exercise called \u2018Parvat Prahaar\u2019<\/strong> on the Ladakh plateau at an altitude in excess of 14,000 feet.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u2018Parvat Prahaar\u2019<\/strong> translates into an attack on the mountain.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Indian Army said the Chief was briefed on operational preparedness by commanders on the ground.<\/p>\n

The Army Chief on Saturday started his two-day visit to Ladakh.<\/p>\n

\"Parvat<\/p>\n

The visit by the Army chief to the Ladakh sector is taking place on the third day of the disengagement process between India and China at the Gogra Heights-Hot Springs area, which was the last friction point created after the May 2020 aggression by the Chinese troops that was yet to resolved by the two sides.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

During the visit, he interacted with the troops and complimented them for their steadfastness and professional standards.<\/p>\n

\"Parvat<\/p>\n

Moving towards resolving the issues created on the LAC post-May 2020, India and China have agreed to dismantle and verify the temporary structures and other allied infrastructure created in the Gogra-Hot Springs (PP-15) area of the LAC in eastern Ladakh, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) had said on Friday.<\/p>\n

\"Parvat<\/p>\n

This disengagement process follows the sixteenth round of talks between the Corps Commanders of India and China that was held at Chushul Moldo Meeting Point on July 17, 2022.<\/p>\n

Since then, the two sides had maintained regular contact to build on the progress achieved during the talks to resolve the relevant issues along the LAC (Line of Actual Control) in the Western Sector of the India-China border areas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
