Mizoram: 1435 stranded Bangalore return to Mizoram<\/h1>\n

As many as 1435 people stranded in Bangalore are set to return to Mizoram by special train<\/a><\/span> from Bangalore to Bairabi.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Bangalore Mizo Association President Patea said,\u201d1540 stranded have been reported but 1435 turned up at the railway station. Around 100 people did not turn up for the journey because domestic flight service has started and some of them are opting to travel by flight.<\/strong>\u201d He also said that some people did not turn up because lockdown has been eased up day by day and some business started so the workers had to stay in the city, he added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

He said that arrangements have been made by the Bangalore Mizo Association and Karnataka Police. He also said that the returnees belong to different districts of Mizoram. Patea also said that the returnees are expected to reach Bairabi by 28th May evening.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The President of Bangalore Mizo Association further said that different counters have been made to different districts and the passengers also put up to the compartment by district wise so it would be easier to separate district wise in Mizoram, he added.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Mizoram government on April 15 had launched a website\u00a0tankhang.mizoram.gov.in<\/a><\/span> for stranded Mizos to report to the state government.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Mizoram chief minister also thanked the Karnataka government for the same.
