This will remain a milestone,\u201d<\/strong> he said.<\/p>\n<p>On claims made by the BJP over the launching of flight service, he said, <strong>\u201cIndia has a federal system of government. The everyday normal flights will begin on January 12. With this, Rourkela turns into the fourth airport to begin commercial\u00a0flight operations in the state after <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bhubaneswar\">Bhubaneswar<\/a><\/span>, Jharsuguda, and Jeypore. The steel city will co-host the mega sporting event with Bhubaneswar. It will also prove to be a boon for the mining industry in Odisha.<\/p>\n<p>On December 30, the trial landing of ATR-72 aircraft was successfully conducted by Alliance Air as the flight carrying two pilots arrived at Rourkela airport from Jharsuguda at 3.20 pm and took off for Bhubaneswar at 3.45 pm.
