Agartala, March 02:\u00a0<\/strong>The Prime Minister of the Nation confidently announces, “Growth, peace, and prosperity guaranteed if BJP voted to power again in Tripura”.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This State in the northeastern part of India, bordered by Bangladesh and Mizoram ended its barnstorming at 4 pm, on 14th<\/sup> February and played the game of luck on the 16th of February.<\/p>\n

The ruling party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is seeking a second term in office. The main opposition party, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)), is hoping to regain power.<\/p>\n

The Congress party is also contesting the elections. The party’s main focus is on creating jobs and combating poverty.<\/p>\n

BJP is running in tandem with the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT). BJP will contest for 55 seats, remaining five seats will be allotted to the IPFT.<\/p>\n

To oppose the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura assembly elections, the Indian National Congress (INC<\/a><\/span>) has teamed up with the Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Front. This time, the party has run candidates for 13 seats across the state.<\/p>\n

The Forward Bloc, CPM, CPI, and RSP make up the Left Front. The opposition Left Front issued its election manifesto, which included 22 key pledges, including the promise to restore law and order and all democratic rights that the saffron party is said to have curbed over the previous five years.<\/p>\n

In the 2023 Tripura assembly elections, the recently created regional group Tipra Motha has planned to run alone. 42 of the 60 seats will be up for election. With pledges for all facets of society, particularly the unemployed and students, Tipra Motha presented election manifestos for Tripura.<\/p>\n

The political climate of Tripura is one that has experienced changes over the years. With an environment where development continues to be prioritized and policies continue to be implemented effectively, Tripura can look forward to a brighter future under sound governance.<\/p>\n

“If people are allowed to vote freely, BJP can\u2019t win”<\/strong>, says CPM leader and former Tripura CM Manik Sarkar.<\/p>\n

“You will see that before 12PM on counting day, the BJP would have crossed the majority mark”,<\/strong> says Amit Shah.<\/p>\n
