The project is progressing at a fast pace and the authorities are aiming to open it by June 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The Sela Pass tunnel is a crucial connection in the state of Arunachal Pradesh and its construction is seen as a significant step towards improving connectivity in the region. Once completed, the tunnel will provide all-weather access to Tawang, one of the most remote and beautiful districts of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n<p>The tunnel will reduce travel time from <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tezpur\">Tezpur<\/a> <\/span>to Tawang by more than an hour, making it easier for people to travel to and from the area.<\/p>\n<p>The project has been divided into three parts &#8211; a 12.37 km stretch, a 475-meter long approach road, and a 10.4 km stretch. The tunnel will be a two-lane, bi-directional passageway with an estimated cost of INR 687 crore.
