Golaghat, April 05:\u00a0<\/strong>Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan, Assam State, and All & Sundry, a non-profit organization based in Golaghat, have jointly introduced the concept of ‘Park Library’ culture in Assam. The initiative aims to promote a reading culture among students, youngsters, and the community at large.<\/p>\n

The park library was inaugurated on Monday at Sankardev Udyan of Golaghat, in the presence of distinguished guests, including Dr. Nripen Boruah, Golaghat District President of Asom Gana Parishad, and Namita Jallan, State President of Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan.<\/p>\n

The park library is an open-air library located within Sankardev Udyan Park in Golaghat. Visitors of all ages can come and read their favorite collection of books free of cost in the fresh open air of the park.<\/p>\n

The library has been set up with the help of the Golaghat Municipal Board, which has provided the space and the physical infrastructure required for the library. The Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan and All & Sundry NGO have developed the space into a creative library space with cupboards, books, and attractive posters.<\/p>\n

The park library is stocked with English bestsellers, classics, and a host of textbooks for students. However, it gives more focus to children and students. Namita Jallan, Assam State President of Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Mahila Sammelan, has emphasized the importance of promoting a reading culture among the younger generation.<\/p>\n

The initiative aims to make reading accessible and enjoyable for people of all ages and to encourage them to spend time in the fresh air and greenery of the park.<\/p>\n

The concept of ‘Park Library’ is not new, and similar initiatives have been undertaken in other parts of the world. The idea is to create a conducive environment for reading, away from the distractions of everyday life.<\/p>\n

By setting up a library in a park, people can enjoy the fresh air and natural surroundings while reading. This initiative can also promote social interaction and community building, as people from different backgrounds can come together to read and discuss books.<\/p>\n
