This was part of a special drive by the police to identify illegal immigrants in the area.<\/p>\n<p>The operation was led by two additional SPs and took place at around 11:30 am. The individuals arrested included 6 males, 10 females, and 7 children.<\/p>\n<p>As a temporary measure, the arrested individuals have been relocated to Sadbhavna Mandap, Khominthang, New Lamka, and Churachandpur until the completion of the detention center planned at the Singngat sub-division.<\/p>\n<p>According to reports, 129 Myanmar nationals have already been placed in a detention camp in the district.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h6><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Also Read<\/span>:<\/span> <\/strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/exploring-the-unique-festivals-of-mizoram-a-celebration-of-culture-and-way-of-life\/\"><strong>Exploring the Unique Festivals of Mizoram: A Celebration of Culture and Way of Life<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/h6>\n<hr \/>\n<p>This is not the first time that arrests of Myanmar nationals have been made in the Churachandpur district.<\/p>\n<p>On February 6, 10 Myanmar nationals were found to be staying illegally, and they were rounded up during a search operation conducted following a tip-off on February 5 at Vaal Veng, New Lamka, <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/churachandpur.nic.in\/\">Churachandpur<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Due to the frequent arrests of Myanmar nationals in Manipur, the state government is planning to set up temporary shelters in three districts of Manipur, including Churachandpur, Tengnoupal, and Chandel. These shelters will help to provide temporary accommodation and support to individuals who are waiting for their status to be determined.<\/p>\n<p>The government&#8217;s actions show a commitment to enforcing immigration laws and ensuring that all individuals living in Manipur are doing so legally.
