Churachandpur, May 03:\u00a0<\/strong>Manipur has been grappling with inter-community tension for many years and the latest incident of violence in the Torbung area of Churachandpur has once again highlighted the delicate nature of communal harmony in the region.<\/p>\n

The violence broke out during a rally of the All Tribal Students’ Union, Manipur (ATSUM), which was held on May 3. Reports suggest that a hill base community allegedly targeted a particular community’s youths on the road, which led to the outbreak of violence.<\/p>\n

The incident has once again raised questions about the effectiveness of the state government in maintaining law and order in the region. The government has been accused of not doing enough to prevent communal clashes and providing adequate security to the people.<\/p>\n
