Bhubaneswar, May 04: <\/strong>The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of a possible cyclonic storm, which may be named Cyclone Mocha, over the Southeast Bay of Bengal around May 6, 2023.<\/p>\n

This could lead to the formation of a low-pressure area over the same region on May 7. The system is expected to intensify into a depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal on May 8 and subsequently transform into a cyclonic storm while moving nearly northwards towards central Bay of Bengal.<\/p>\n

The IMD has named the possible cyclone Cyclone Mocha and warned fishermen not to venture out into the Bay of Bengal from May 7 onwards.<\/p>\n

The IMD has stated that it will continue to closely monitor the system, and further details about its path and intensity will be provided after the formation of the low-pressure area. The Met department has advised people living in the affected areas to stay alert and follow the necessary precautions.<\/p>\n
