A low-pressure area has already formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining the South Andaman Sea.<\/p>\n<p>The IMD has suggested regulating tourism, offshore activities, and shipping near the Andaman and Nicobar Islands and over the sea areas of the southeast and central Bay of Bengal until Friday.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h6><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Also Read<\/span>: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/exploring-the-life-and-legacy-of-sarala-devi-choudharani-through-alka-saraogis-novel-2\/\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\">Exploring the Life and Legacy of Sarala Devi Choudharani through Alka Saraogi\u2019s Novel<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/h6>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Squally wind speeds reaching 50-60 kmph, gusting to 70 kmph, are expected over the southeast <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bay_of_Bengal\">Bay of Bengal<\/a><\/span>, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and adjoining Andaman Sea on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The weather department has updated on the further trajectory of Cyclone Mocha in a tweet on Tuesday, stating that<strong> \u201cThe low-pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea has become a Well Marked Low-Pressure Area over the same region at 0530 IST today, the 9th May 2023&#8243;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The low pressure area over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea has become Well Marked Low Pressure Area over the same region at 0530 IST today, the 9th May 2023.
