Guwahati, June 10:\u00a0<\/strong>The government of Assam has announced a cash reward of \u20b925,000 for each participant who took part in the Bihu World Record event held on April 14 at Guwahati<\/a><\/span>‘s Sarusajai Stadium.<\/p>\n

A total of 11,304 Bihu dancers and 2,548 drummers who participated in the historic event will receive the cash prize on June 28 and 29. In addition to the cash reward, the participants will also be presented with digital certificates.<\/p>\n

Tourism Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah expressed his gratitude to the participants and stated, “Those who came to Sarusajai Stadium to participate in the Bihu Guinness World Record will receive the promised amount of \u20b925,000. They will also be provided with a digital certificate.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Furthermore, participants who chose to stay in their respective districts after the Bihu practice will be awarded \u20b910,000 each. This announcement was made by Tourism Minister Jayanta Malla Baruah.<\/p>\n

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma highlighted the global recognition received by Assam’s Bihu performance and expressed his appreciation for the artists. He stated, “The cabinet ministers will visit the districts to personally present the cash prizes to the artists. I myself will personally felicitate the performers in at least five districts.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bihu World Record event garnered international acclaim, and Chief Minister Sarma received greetings and messages of appreciation from various parts of the country and abroad.
