Champhai, June 26:\u00a0<\/strong>In a significant crackdown on illegal drugs trafficking, Assam Rifles and the Excise and Narcotics Department conducted a joint operation in the Champhai district of Mizoram, resulting in the recovery of drugs valued at Rs 35.77 lakh.<\/p>\n

The successful operation marks a major stride in the ongoing battle against drug abuse and the illicit drug trade.<\/p>\n

Acting on specific information received by the Assam Rifles, a joint search operation was launched in the General Area of Zote. During the operation, three hongs (a type of drug container) and two small plastic vials containing narcotics were discovered concealed inside a brown bag.<\/p>\n

The entire seized consignment, along with pertinent evidence, has been handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department in Champhai<\/a><\/span>. The department will initiate further legal proceedings against those involved in the drug trafficking operation.<\/p>\n
