Sources indicate that Biren Singh will meet with Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey at 1 PM to officially hand over his resignation. It is reported that the chief minister was presented with a choice: either resign voluntarily or face intervention from the central government. With limited options, Biren Singh has opted to step down from his position.<\/p>\n
