New Delhi, Aug 30:\u00a0<\/strong>Diplomatic tensions between India and China have flared once again after China released its 2023 “standard map,”<\/strong> which includes territory claimed by India as its own. The map, which encompasses areas like Arunachal Pradesh and Aksai Chin, has prompted strong objections from India.<\/p>\n

China’s foreign ministry defended the release of the map as a routine exercise of sovereignty, emphasizing that it is in line with the country’s legal framework. China also urged relevant parties to view the map objectively and avoid overinterpretation.<\/p>\n

India swiftly responded to China’s territorial claims, lodging a strong protest through diplomatic channels. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) characterized the map as having “no basis”<\/strong> and accused China of further complicating the resolution of the boundary dispute between the two countries.<\/p>\n

The release of this map is the latest episode in a longstanding territorial dispute between India and China<\/a><\/span>. Arunachal Pradesh, in particular, has been a point of contention, with China asserting its sovereignty over the region despite it being administered by India.
