The inclement weather, coupled with torrential rains, triggered the landslide, causing a portion of the road to cave in.<\/p>\n<p>The highway has been temporarily shut down to facilitate urgent repairs. Local residents have been advised to avoid using this route for travel during this period. However, small vehicles from Sikkim heading towards Siliguri may still use the road at their convenience.
