Nagaland: Security forces bust NSCN (K-YA) extortion module, nab three militants with arms-ammunition<\/h1>\n

Guwahati, June 30: Security forces had busted an extortion module of Naga banned outfit NSCN (K-Yung Aung) and apprehended three hardcore militants of the group along with huge cache of arms and ammunition in Nagaland.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Based on specific intelligence input about the presence of some NSCN(K-Yung Aung)<\/a><\/span>\u00a0group, troops of Assam Rifles and Nagaland police had launched an operation at Old Showba, Nikheku and Thilixu village areas near Dimapur and apprehended three militants.<\/p>\n

The nabbed militants were identified as Hoto Swu, Huto and Leacy Rolem<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Security personnel had recovered one HK assault rifle with a magazine, one point 22 mm rifle, one SB rifle, one hand grenade, two pistols, assorted ammunition, extortion slips and other warlike stores in possession from them.<\/p>\n

The apprehended militants along with recovered items were handed over to Diphupar police station for further investigation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Several factions of Naga outfit NSCN are active in Nagaland and some parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Assam.<\/p>\n

Recently, security forces had apprehended few militants of NSCN (K), and (R)<\/a> <\/span>with a huge cache of arms and ammunition in Arunachal Pradesh.<\/p>\n
