The UN Human Rights has squarely placed the blame on local groups, Meitei Leepun and Arambai Tengol, for the attack.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement posted on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), the UN Human Rights said,<strong> &#8220;We are alarmed by threats to human rights defender Babloo Loitongbam by Meitei Leepun &amp; Arambai Tengol groups in Manipur for speaking out on inter-communal violence since May. During their visit, they vandalized various household items, including a car, chairs, and window panes.<\/p>\n<p>Local law enforcement agencies, including the Lamphel Police Station and Imphal West district Police personnel, quickly responded to the incident and implemented necessary security measures.<\/p>\n<p>The attack on Babloo Loitongbam&#8217;s residence has raised concerns over the safety of human rights defenders and activists in Manipur.
