The resolution also called for an immediate ceasefire and negotiations on all outstanding issues contributing to the ongoing conflict.<\/p>\n<p>By drawing parallels between this point in Congress&#8217;s resolution and statements made by Pakistan and the Taliban, Sarma accused the party of endorsing and showing support to Palestine.<\/p>\n<p>This was despite the fact that Hamas, an armed military group based in Palestine, had initiated a surprise attack on Israel, leading to the ongoing conflict.
