Weather, Oct 23: <\/strong>India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the Northeast as a cyclone, named Hamoon, is developing in the Bay of Bengal, following Cyclone Tej in the Arabian Sea.<\/p>\n

The depression over the west-central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a deep depression, and the IMD predicts it will further strengthen into a cyclonic storm within the next 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Cyclone Hamoon is expected to initially move northward and then shift north-northeastwards. It is forecasted to cross the Bangladesh coast between Khepupara and Chittagong on the evening of October 25 as a deep depression, impacting the coasts of West Bengal and Bangladesh<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

As a result, the IMD has issued yellow alerts for parts of the Northeastern states, including Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, until October 26, 2023, due to anticipated rainfall.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
