Lockdown has been extended in Arunachal capital city, Itanagar Capital Complex by a week as Covid-19 positive<\/a><\/span> cases have started showing an alarming upsurge in the area.<\/p>\n An intense lockdown has been announced by the Itanagar Capital administration till July 20.<\/p>\n The lockdown was previously supposed to end on July 13<\/p>\n A total of 462 positive cases have been registered in the state till 14th July with 218 cases from the Capital Region itself.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Arunachal capital<\/a><\/span> intense lockdown extended for one week more upto 20 July as many positive cases coming among vegetable vendors, police and health workers.<\/p>\n The decision to extend the lockdown was taken during a cabinet meeting summoned by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, in regards to the Covid-19 situation in the state capital.<\/p>\n More than three hundred and seventy primary contacts of the seven people who recently tested Covid-19 positive have been traced. Out of the 207 tested negative, 27 tested positive, and the results of 136 are awaited.<\/p>\n Taking to his verified Twitter handle, Pema Khandu informed, \u201cHad a virtual Cabinet meeting to assess the #COVID19 situation.
