{"id":3593,"date":"2020-08-08T16:26:43","date_gmt":"2020-08-08T10:56:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=3593"},"modified":"2020-08-08T19:11:18","modified_gmt":"2020-08-08T13:41:18","slug":"gauhati-university-to-start-classes-from-1st-september","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/gauhati-university-to-start-classes-from-1st-september\/","title":{"rendered":"Gauhati University to start classes from 1st September"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Guwahati, August 8:<\/strong> Amid rising COVID-19 positive cases in Assam, Gauhati University is preparing to start regular classes from September 1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The university authority on Friday has issued a notice for reopening regular classes and examinations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the notice, the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gauhati.ac.in\/\">university authority<\/a><\/span><\/span> said that regular classes of Post Graduate (PG) 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0semester, Under Graduate (UG) 6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0semester, LLB 6<sup>th<\/sup> semester, BA LLB, BBA LLB and B.Com LLB 10<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0semester will be restarted from September 1.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201c<strong>The examinations of Under Graduate will be started from September 22 and Post Graduate from September 25. All hostels will be reopened from September 1<\/strong>,\u201d said in the notice of Gauhati University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/assam-government-plans-to-reopen-schools-colleges-from-september-1\/\">Assam government<\/a><\/span><\/span> has closed all schools, colleges and universities in the state since March 15 to curb the spread of the novel Coronavirus.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assam has witnessed a sharp spike in the number of COVID-19 positive cases as the state has so far registered nearly 53,000 cases and 126 patients died due to the deadly virus infections.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to the state Health Department, 2372 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/covid19-northeast-statewise-tally\/\">COVID-19<\/a><\/span><\/span> positive cases were detected in the state in the last 24 hours.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Guwahati, August 8: Amid rising COVID-19 positive cases in Assam, Gauhati University is preparing to start regular classes from September 1.
