Guwahati, September 27:<\/strong> Nearly 2.25 lakh people of nine districts of Assam have been affected in the fresh wave of flood.<\/p>\n

According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), 1.51 lakh people have been affected in Nagaon district followed by 32,700 people in Morigaon district, 17,000 people in Dhemaji district, 11,000 people in Dibrugarh district.<\/p>\n

The water levels of the Brahmaputra river and its tributaries are flowing above danger level at many places in the state following incessant rain in the past few days.<\/p>\n

The floodwaters<\/a> <\/span><\/span>have submerged nearly 10,000 hectares of agricultural land in the flood-affected districts.<\/p>\n

The flood report of ASDMA stated that, 219 villages have affected in the current spate.<\/p>\n

Over 57 lakh people of 30 districts of the state have affected in this year\u2019s flood and 118 persons have lost their lives in the deluge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
