Spot gold traded 0.4% higher at $1,913.90 an ounce, recovering from earlier loss of 0.8%. Silver prices jumped 0.9% to $23.9992 an ounce, also recovering from a 1.3% loss.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">US President Donald Trump mentioned in a tweet on Thursday (1 October) that he and First Lady Melania Trump have been tested positive for <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/covid19-northeast-statewise-tally\/\">COVID-19<\/a><\/span><\/span>. They have been quarantined after a top aide tested positive for coronavirus, in shock development that disrupts his scheduled public appearances in the crucial final weeks of the election campaign.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid 19.
