Guwahati, October 5:<\/strong> On its way to consider it as a holy animal, villagers of Assam Cachar district have conducted the last rites of bull by performing the rituals of Hindu religion.<\/p>\n

Hindus consider cow and bull as sacred animals and the Hindu religion people have worshipped the animal on many occasions.<\/p>\n

A bull \u2013 local villagers of Baladhan tea garden near Udharband in Cachar district<\/a><\/span><\/span> Assam, called it as Nandi Maharaj, died recently.<\/p>\n

The bull had used the Shiva temple of the area dominated by tea garden labourers to stay and the local villagers had offered foods to the bull.<\/p>\n

\"Assam<\/a><\/p>\n

As the bull died, the locals had decided to do everything which is done on the death of a Hindu person.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Finally the local villagers gathered at the area and the bull was first given a bath and then wrapped by white cloth.<\/p>\n

The locals had also paid their floral tribute to the bull and they took out a procession with the body of the bull and performed kirtan.<\/p>\n

The local villagers said that, the bull was an integral part of the area and everybody mourned.<\/p>\n

While they lastly buried the bull, priests had chanted mantras and many people offered their tribute to the bull.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
