Nagaland, 16th November: <\/strong>The Bijoy Bey led the Karbi Students Association (KSA) called for an economic blockade of Nagaland from November 17.<\/p>\n

The KSA has called for the blockade to protest against unabated illegal encroachment in the Karbi <\/span>Anglong district by people from the neighboring state.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the six key demands by the KSA<\/span><\/span><\/a>, the Publicity Secretary Karbi Students\u2019 Association (KSA) Central Executive Committee, Sotrosing Tisso said that the pillar removed by Nagaland<\/a><\/span><\/span> in Doldoli Reserve Forest should be reinstalled with GPS co-ordinates.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome Naga miscreants with the support of the Nagaland government have illegally encroached the land in our district. The Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council (KAAC) and the state government have failed to protect our land,\u201d<\/strong> said a member of KSA.<\/p>\n

KSA leader Simeon Rongphar had also called for a four-hour economic blockade on November 20 in case the KAAC and the Assam and Nagaland governments fail to hold a tripartite talk on the border dispute.<\/p>\n

The students\u2019 organization claimed that encroachment activities by Naga miscreants have increased from October. The encroachers frequently entered the district\u2019s Daldali Reserve Forest to cut down trees.<\/p>\n

Talks between the district administrations of Karbi Anglong and Dimapur district of Nagaland has not deterred them from illegally entering the state.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
