Fire tenders are trying to douse the blaze and rescue survivors, the official said, adding an investigation has been started.<\/p>\n<p>Those who died were workers of the scrap factory. The injured have been taken to Malda Medical College and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wbhealth.gov.in\/contents\/malda_medical_college\">Hospital<\/a><\/span><\/span> for treatment.\u00a0The\u00a0intensity of the explosion was such that it ripped a major portion of the Malda plastic factory. The actual cause of the explosion is being investigated.<\/p>\n<p>West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced a compensation of \u20b9 2 Lakh for the family of those who died and \u20b9 50,000 for the injured.
