It has also asked the governments of Assam, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Gujarat to file status reports on the Covid-19 situation in the respective states.<\/p>\n<p>A three-judge bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhushan said,<strong> \u201cThe Covid-19 situation is likely to grow grim in the coming months. We are of the opinion that all states must be prepared for the coming months.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The bench was hearing a suo moto petition of the management of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/former-assam-cm-tarun-gogoi-health-remains-critical-despite-minor-improvement\/\">medical<\/a><\/span><\/span> care given to Covid-19 patients and the manner of treating bodies with dignity after certain news reports showed bodies lying unattended in the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sci.gov.in\/\">Court<\/a><\/span><\/span> has asked all states, especially Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Assam to file a status report on the current position of Covid-19 cases, facilities provided in hospitals, and preparedness to deal with a spike of cases in coming months.<\/p>\n<p>The responses have to be filed before the next date of hearing fixed for Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Assam, 23rd November: The Supreme Court on Monday expressed grave concerns over the spike in Covid-19 cases across the country in November.
