Assam, Dec 11:<\/strong> Many Organisations in Assam has begun fresh agitations against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).<\/p>\n

During the protests, the organizations also seek the release of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) leader Akhil Gogoi, who was taken in custody during the protests last year.<\/p>\n

According to local reports, the agitation has launched from Sivasagar in eastern Assam. It will then be carried out throughout the rest of the state.<\/p>\n

The agitators have been demanding that the CAA be rolled back.<\/p>\n

All Assam Students\u2019 Union (AASU<\/a><\/span><\/span>) has also announced that it will revive the anti-CAA protests on December 12, the one-year ‘anniversary<\/strong>‘ of the agitation. To be undertaken with the name – \u2018Gono Hoonkar<\/strong>\u2019, meaning public outcry, the agitation aims to press for repeal of the act.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
