Nagaland, Dec 17:<\/strong> The World Bank approved a project worth 63 million dollars for Nagaland to enhance quality education by developing different resources in the schools of the state.<\/p>\n

The project is part of the four development projects worth over 800 million dollars that the World Bank<\/a><\/span><\/span> approved for India.<\/p>\n

The project termed \u201cNagaland: Enhancing Classroom Teaching and Resources Project<\/strong>\u201d to improve classroom teaching and create opportunities for enhancing the teaching skills of teachers.<\/p>\n

The project will build technology systems for students and teachers with more access to blended and online learning. It also aims to better monitor policies and programs on school education.<\/p>\n

Such an integrated approach will complement conventional delivery models in schools and help mitigate the challenges posed by COVID-19<\/a><\/span><\/span>, said a statement issued by the World Bank.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe four projects will support India\u2019s efforts to rebuild by creating a sustainable and resilient economy<\/strong>,\u201d said Junaid Ahmad, country director of World Bank India.<\/p>\n

\u201cDevelopment work today has to cater to the poor and vulnerable families to help them recover from the adverse impact of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic<\/strong>,\u201d Ahmad said.<\/p>\n

These four projects will help many families in India to access better income opportunities, education, water supply, and benefits from the expanded social protection schemes of the government.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the \u201cChhattisgarh Inclusive Rural and Accelerated Agriculture Growth Project<\/strong>\u201d worth 100 million dollars will develop sustainable production systems to enable tribal households in remote areas of Chhattisgarh to produce diversified and nutritious food throughout the year.<\/p>\n

The \u201cSecond Accelerating India\u2019s COVID-19 Social Protection Response Programme<\/strong>\u201d worth 400 million dollars will support India\u2019s efforts at providing social assistance to poor and vulnerable households, severely impacted by the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The \u201cSecond Dam Improvement and Rehabilitation Project (DRIP-2)<\/strong>\u201d worth 250 million dollars will improve the safety and performance of existing dams across various states of India.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
