{"id":6764,"date":"2020-12-24T12:43:22","date_gmt":"2020-12-24T07:13:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=6764"},"modified":"2020-12-24T12:43:22","modified_gmt":"2020-12-24T07:13:22","slug":"subdued-christmas-new-year-as-night-curfew-imposed-in-manipur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/subdued-christmas-new-year-as-night-curfew-imposed-in-manipur\/","title":{"rendered":"Subdued Christmas, New Year as night curfew imposed in Manipur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Manipur, Dec 23:<\/strong> In a bid to curb further spread of COVID-19 in Manipur, the State Government has imposed curfew at night on <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/mizoram-ssa-teachers-to-get-pending-salaries-before-christmas\/\">Christmas<\/a><\/span><\/span> and New Year.<\/p>\n<p>Manipur was placed under the night curfew on the intervening night of December 23 and 24, to curtail mass gathering for pre-Christmas celebrations.<\/p>\n<p>Night curfew will also remain enforced on the intervening night of December 24 and 25, the Christmas Eve night, from 12 midnight till 4 am.<\/p>\n<p>Manipur will also remain under night curfew from 12 midnight till 4 am on the intervening night of December 31 and January 1, 2021, the New Year night.<\/p>\n<p>Chief Secretary of Manipur Rajesh Kumar informed that on the other days, the curfew will begin at 10 pm and end at 4 am.<\/p>\n<p>In the order issued by Manipur Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, advised that community feasting should be avoided during the festivals, to prevent the spread of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600; text-decoration: underline;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/covid-19-cases-cross-1-crore-mark-in-india\/\">COVID-19<\/a><\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Christmas and New Year gatherings in Manipur have also been restricted up to 50 per cent of the hall capacity with a ceiling of 200 persons in closed spaces with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manipur, Dec 23: In a bid to curb further spread of COVID-19 in Manipur, the State Government has imposed curfew at night on Christmas and New Year.
