Meghalaya dentist prescribed whiskey to his patient. At a time when the government has restricted only to operate essential services during lockdown<\/a>, a Shillong based dentist has prescribed whiskey to one of his patient who had complained of withdrawal symptoms.<\/p>\n

After the prescription of the dentist has gone viral on social media many people have criticized the doctor.<\/p>\n

According to the reports, Dr B Purkayastha had prescribed two bottles of whiskey to a 65-year-old patient on April 3.<\/p>\n

The dentist asked the patient not to drink more than three pegs (whiskey) in a day.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, East Khasi Hills Wine Dealers and Welfare Association had urged Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma<\/a> to grant permission to open the liquor shops in the state.<\/p>\n
