The flight returned with 21 passengers. This was the first flight to connect Sikkim and the national capital.<\/p>\n<p>Sikkim Health Minister <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mani_Kumar_Sharma\">MK Sharma<\/a><\/span> welcomed the passengers from New Delhi who deboarded at the airport.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile,\u00a0SpiceJet, the only airline to offer daily direct air connectivity between Delhi and Sikkim said, \u201c<strong>We are delighted to resume our flight operations to Gangtok and put Sikkim back on India\u2019s aviation map!<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We are delighted to resume our flight operations to Gangtok and put Sikkim back on India&#39;s aviation map! It is an important step as many people have been demanding a direct flight from Pakyong to\u00a0Delhi. We are getting a lot of tourists from\u00a0Delhi.
