{"id":932,"date":"2020-04-15T12:20:23","date_gmt":"2020-04-15T06:50:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=932"},"modified":"2020-04-15T12:23:48","modified_gmt":"2020-04-15T06:53:48","slug":"meghalayas-covid-19-patient-died","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/meghalayas-covid-19-patient-died\/","title":{"rendered":"Meghalaya\u2019s COVID-19 patient died on Wednesday"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Meghalaya\u2019s lone COVID-19 positive patient dies:<\/h1>\n<p>Guwahati, April 15: Meghalaya\u2019s lone COVID-19 positive patient, a 69-year-old doctor died early on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>He passed away at Bethany Hospital in Shillong.<\/p>\n<p>Confirming the report, <a href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/first-covid-19-positive-case-in-meghalaya\/\">Meghalaya<\/a> Health minister AL Hek said that, the patient \u2013 a senior doctor of the state passed away at around 2 am.<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 696px;\" class=\"wp-video\"><!--[if lt IE 9]><script>document.createElement('video');<\/script><![endif]-->\n<video class=\"wp-video-shortcode\" id=\"video-932-1\" width=\"696\" height=\"522\" preload=\"metadata\" controls=\"controls\"><source type=\"video\/mp4\" src=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/MEGHALAYA-APRIL-15-SHILLONG-HOSPITAL-1.mp4?_=1\" \/><a href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/MEGHALAYA-APRIL-15-SHILLONG-HOSPITAL-1.mp4\">https:\/\/nerising.in\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/MEGHALAYA-APRIL-15-SHILLONG-HOSPITAL-1.mp4<\/a><\/video><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe have already sealed the Bethany Hospital and all other patients, doctors, nurses and other health workers of the hospital are being quarantined,\u201d The Meghalaya Health minister said.<\/p>\n<p>The 69-year-old senior doctor of Bethany Hospital was tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second death case due to COVID-19 in North East.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, a COVID-19 positive patient from Assam\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/assam-first-covid-19-death-reports\/\">Hailakandi<\/a> district died and now Meghalaya\u2019s COVID-19 patient died.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 40 positive cases for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/covid19\/\">COVID-19<\/a> have been reported in the North-Eastern region so far and two patients from Assam and Meghalaya died and the first patient from Manipur was discharged from the hospital and she was recovered from the dreaded virus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Meghalaya\u2019s lone COVID-19 positive patient dies: Guwahati, April 15: Meghalaya\u2019s lone COVID-19 positive patient, a 69-year-old doctor died early on Wednesday.
