{"id":9666,"date":"2021-03-15T20:43:52","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T15:13:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=9666"},"modified":"2021-03-16T12:29:58","modified_gmt":"2021-03-16T06:59:58","slug":"nia-takes-over-probe-into-raj-bhawan-grenade-attack-case-in-manipur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/nia-takes-over-probe-into-raj-bhawan-grenade-attack-case-in-manipur\/","title":{"rendered":"NIA takes over probe into Raj Bhawan grenade attack case in Manipur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Manipur, March 15:<\/strong> A probe into the grenade attack outside the Manipur Raj Bhawan on January 19 will now be conducted by the <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/manipur-nia-court-frames-charges-against-congress-mla-and-others-in-arms-missing-case\/\">National Investigation Agency<\/a><\/span> (NIA).<\/p>\n<p>The Country\u2019s top investigating agency reportedly has taken over the probe after preliminary investigation revealed that the attack was carried out on the orders of Myanmar-based commanders of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF).<\/p>\n<p>The NIA has registered a case under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), the explosive substances act and attempt to murder charges.<\/p>\n<p>On January 19 at around 4:30 pm, two motorcycle-borne insurgents had lobbed a China-made hand grenade at the security personnel stationed at the main entrance of the Manipur Raj Bhawan.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, no casualty or injury was reported in the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Manipur police arrested three persons in connection with the case, all having links with the banned UNLF.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Manipur, March 15: A probe into the grenade attack outside the Manipur Raj Bhawan on January 19 will now be conducted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
