{"id":9781,"date":"2021-03-19T14:05:48","date_gmt":"2021-03-19T08:35:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nerising.in\/?p=9781"},"modified":"2021-03-19T14:22:30","modified_gmt":"2021-03-19T08:52:30","slug":"indias-first-sex-toy-shop-shuts-down-in-goa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/northeastrising.in\/test\/indias-first-sex-toy-shop-shuts-down-in-goa\/","title":{"rendered":"India&#8217;s first sex toy shop shuts down in Goa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Goa, March 19:<\/strong> A month after the launch of the much-talked-about offline sex toy store in India which opened in Goa in February, the company has been asked to shut shop by the local Panchayat.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The \u201c<strong>sexual wellness<\/strong>\u201d shop called \u2018<strong>Kama Gizmo<\/strong>\u2019, the first of its kind in India opened on Valentine\u2019s Day market in Goa\u2019s Calangute. But barely a month since the store\u2019s launch, it has shut down by the panchayat citing lack of a trade license on the store\u2019s part.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to reports, the issue is not just with the lack of <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\"><a style=\"color: #ff6600;\" href=\"https:\/\/cleartax.in\/s\/trade-license\">trade license<\/a><\/span> but Calangute panchayat\u2019s objection to \u201c<strong>such activities<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dinesh Simepuruskar, sarpanch of Calangute, said that they had received oral complaints from many people including men and women regarding the shop that was selling \u201c<strong>sex-related things<\/strong>\u201d and they also did not have a trade license. \u201c<strong>So we have shut it down<\/strong>,\u201d Simepuruskar said, adding, \u201c<strong>We don\u2019t want to allow such activities<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Store co-owner KamaKart\u2019s Prawin Ganeshan told the Indian Express that the trade license was not the only problem. \u201c<strong>Since we are outsiders and not from Goa, we are an easy target<\/strong>&#8220;, he said.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h5><strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Also Read<\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a style=\"color: #000080;\" href=\"https:\/\/nerising.in\/man-dies-during-sex-due-to-extreme-orgasm\/\">Man dies during sex due to \u2018Extreme Orgasm\u2019<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n<hr \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kama Gizmos, which is India\u2019s first brick and mortar sex shop, looked more like a well-lit medical store instead of a dimly lit kink store.
