Tezpur, May 28: Residents of Assam, specifically in the Tezpur region, experienced a mild earthquake measuring a magnitude of 3.3, in the early hours of Sunday.

The earthquake occurred at 03:58:54 IST with its epicenter located at latitude 27.10 and longitude 92.59. The depth of the earthquake was recorded at 10 kilometers. The seismic activity was reported by the National Center for Seismology, which closely monitors and analyzes earthquakes in the region.

The tremors were felt in the vicinity of Tezpur, which is approximately 53 kilometers northwest of the epicenter. While the earthquake was of a relatively low magnitude, it still caused noticeable shaking and vibrations in the area.
